For us camping is one of the best ways to relax during the weekend and release any stress. Luckily there are numerous amazing campsites nearby. This time we explored Dogwood campground near Lake Arrowhead. Our spot #33 was very spacious and flat, it could easily fit at least 4 tents. We arrived around noon on Saturday, checked in, set up our equipment and went hiking in the area. Later we also went to the Lake Arrowhead Village that is 2 miles away. In the evening we enjoyed food cooked on the fire, wine, and stars. Firewood is available for purchase from the host. It was quite chilly in the evening and during the night though.

Pictures from the campground:

Lake Arrowhead Village is a cozy little town. It’s a very nice place to walk by the lake, enjoy some food or do shopping. They have a large grocery store if you forgot something. Here are some pictures from our visit:

Lake Arrowhead Village also hosts multiple events during the year. At this period of time they have Octoberfest. The entrance is free, but you need to pay for a special beer mug if you want to have some beer.
