Day 1: Vancouver

First of all, I want to say that we loved both Vancouver and Whistler regardless of some rainy days! Vancouver is a very friendly city for walking thus we explored it on our feet. This day we walked a lot in Stanley Park during the first part of the day, then visited Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. When it is warmer in Vancouver it is also a perfect place for cycling. Many people run and cycle there that motivates to have a healthier lifestyle :)

Another great benefit of Vancouver is really good and cheap Asian food and many-many coffee places. With that weather, we did a lot of coffee stops. While local people wore light jackets and ignored the rain we had our warm winter jackets and hats on.

Second part of the day we spent in Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We purchased our tickets in advance to avoid the lines, and we used free shuttle bus from the downtown. There are several attractions to explore: the famous suspension bridge, the nature trail, cliffwalk and treetops adventure. In late November this place becomes magical with lots of Christmas lights! Our bus driver said that real Santa visits this place for Christmas :) All other places get his little helpers.
