Days 14-16: Paris

Our last day in Paris we dedicated to the Louvre – the largest museum in the world. It took us 4 hours to walk through all floors and rooms without reading all the details.

While Europe was busy with creating all that stuff shown above, Hawaii decided to create some dudes! Eventually, this guy on the left is now my favorite exhibit 🙂 Was totally worth taking hidden stairs to see the American collection!

Days 1-2: Paris

Long time no travel! The starting point of our trip to Europe was Paris since we found relatively cheap direct flight operated by XL airlines. There are also budget Norwegian airlines and Polish LOT (round trip can go as low as 500$).

We landed around 4pm and took a train to Gare du Nord (10 euro for the ticket) from where we walked to our hotel. During our first evening, we only went out to get some food and explored nearby areas.

The next day we walked a lot! Since my previous visits, I remembered that wherever you go Opera will be the first sight you’ll find. But it looks more epic with the clouds behind it.

From Place de la Concorde we turned to the Tuileries Garden and this area is very nice and relaxing. We decided to sit for a moment before entering busy touristic areas.

This time we walked in the Louvre area but decided not to go inside.

The same day we also went all the way to the Eiffel Tower as well as to Sacre-Cour to see the city from above.

Day 14: 12 States in 15 Days

This day we drove to Dallas, TX via Oklahoma state. We stopped in Paris city, TX with their local version of Eiffel tower 🙂

Dallas is a huge city which offers a variety of art museums, amusement parks, shops, restaurants, zoo, and aquarium. It is a modern city and a significant business hub. The city is split into several districts. We only explored the most touristic areas – Dallas downtown and uptown in the evening. Klyde Warren Park looked cozy at night with all the lights and Christmas decorations. We walked from the uptown to the Thanksgiving square and back. Uptown is a popular area for going out to the upscale restaurants.
